When the wastewater passes through the carrier reactor, the microorganisms in the water adhere and grow continuously on the inner and outer surfaces of the carrier, forming biofilm. The carrier rotates freely under the agitation of the mixture in the reactor, and the biofilm fully contacts and decomposes the pollutants in the water body, thus purifying the water quality. The movement of the mixed liquid and the movement of the carrier are achieved by aerobic aeration or anaerobic agitation.
The small boss MBBR bio-filler process uses the basic principle of biofilm method, makes full use of the advantages of activated sludge method, and overcomes the shortcomings of traditional activated sludge method and fixed biofilm method. The key technology is to study and develop biological fillers with a specific gravity close to water and easy to move freely with water under slight stirring. Biological packing has the characteristics of effective surface area and suitable for microbial growth. The structure of the fillers is characterized by the inner surface area of the protected microorganism growth. When aerated, buoyancy of bubbles drives the filler and surrounding water to flow. When air flows through the gap between the water and the filler, it is blocked by the filler and divided into small bubbles. In such a process, the filler is fully stirred and mixed with the water flow, and the air flow is fully divided into small bubbles, increasing the contact between biofilm and oxygen and oxygen transfer efficiency.
MBBR process can greatly reduce operating costs and energy consumption, while greatly improving treatment efficiency and shortening hydraulic residence time.
